D7 Recruiting are exclusively recruiting a Health and Safety Manager for our client who is a rapidly growing Group of Electrical, Mechanical, and Facilities Management companies that specialises in delivering high-quality services to a diverse range of clients.

Position Overview:

As the Health and Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a culture of safety excellence within the organization. You will be responsible for visiting various sites, assessing their safety procedures, and identifying areas for improvement. Additionally, you will deliver comprehensive gap analysis reports and work with sites to implement effective safety solutions. This role will require strong organisational skills as you will manage your own diary to schedule site visits and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Visits and Assessment: Conduct regular site visits to gain a deep understanding of their operations and safety procedures.

Gap Analysis: Perform comprehensive gap analysis assessments to identify discrepancies between current safety practices and industry standards or regulations.

Presentation and Reporting: Prepare and deliver clear and concise gap analysis reports to clients, outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans to enhance safety measures.

Safety Solutions: Collaborate with clients to develop and implement effective safety solutions, policies, and procedures to address identified gaps and improve overall safety performance.

Compliance: Ensure that all safety-related activities are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety assessments, reports, training materials, and other relevant documentation.

Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging regulations, and best practices to continuously improve safety standards and programs.

Manage own diary, whilst being present on-site, to develop key relationships with all personnel.


  • NEBOSH Certification or equivalent is essential for this role
  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager within the rail industry is essential
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of CDM regulations
  • All candidates must be willing to work away from home
